Taking me back.

I am the paper bag princess, and I am going to rescue myself.  Okay, first goal;
  1. Get to goal weight of 160 lbs.
  2. Read all 100 books on my book list
  3. Write in my journal once a day
  4. Exercise at least 3 days a week
  5. Eat healthier
  6. Save money for life goals (pennies for a house, nickles for a car, dimes for a trip, quarters for clean laundry)
  7. Complete homework on time
I think that's a good list, 7 is a good number.  I'm aware that a couple of them intersect, like loose weight, exercise, and eat healthier, but I don't consider that a bad thing.  I'm thinking of repetition more like a fail safe.  Now, to start working on my list, and to update this thing with my progress.  Woo!

New Goals.

Okay, it's been a while, I need some new goals!  I'm still working on my book list, although I'm moving slower now that I'm back in class.  What's a good goal?  I was thinking about starting an Etsy shop and setting myself to make at least one new thing a week.  That would be a good goal and it would benefit me.  I could set myself 15 minutes of yoga everyday.  Or something crazy like getting ready to backpack across the U.S. in a year.  I'm not sure what I'll pick, or if I'll pick a few things.  I would love some extra ideas.

Off to a good start!

I did it!  I started on my book list!

I recently finished reading 1984.  What a book!  I don't want to give away too much, so I wont play fast and loose with the plot.  However, I will say that I quite enjoyed the read in an appropriately darkly reverent way.  I can't help thinking that this book will change my general thoughts on many things.  The parallels to modern governments are many and I don't mean that in a good way.  Still, even though the overall feeling that I had while reading was one of failing hope, and I do love my hope, I am glad of the read and of the incites that this book offered.

Now, I'm on to reading To Kill a Mockingbird.  I read this one when I was in grade school under duress, and I can't say that I read all of it or that I enjoyed any of it.  That said, I'm glad that I'm looking at it with new eyes and I think that this time around I may change my original opinions.

Wish me luck!
